UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Somatic MARCM clones of cells expressing Sox21aKK111576 under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU in the adult posterior midgut are significantly smaller compared to the control clones (without causing loss of the intestinal stem cells), although the overall number of clones recovered is comparable. Expression driven by the Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 driver also reduces proliferation of intestinal stem cells in the adult gut.
