Expression of adpScer\UAS.cHa in a fat restricted manner under the control of Scer\GAL4DcG inhibits fat formation and the size of the fat body.

Upon RU486 treatment, expression of adp60 under the control of Scer\GAL4FBI-19 results in reduced fat accumulation as compared with those treated with vehicle.

Larvae expressing adpScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4fat have reduced triglyceride levels compared to control larvae. The amount of fat body tissue is significantly reduced compared to controls in third instar larvae expressing adpScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4fat. These animals continue to develop until pupation, but die in the pupal case.

Third instar larvae expressing adpScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have a normal triglyceride content and develop into normal-looking, healthy, fertile adults.

Larvae expressing adpScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B have normal triglyceride levels.

Expression of adpScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4F4 does not result in any visible defects in the salivary glands.
