Expression of NT1fl.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 improves the longevity of adult flies: their median survival is significantly increased compared to controls at both 25[o]C and 29[o]C. However, the adult locomotor ability (climbing velocity) is not significantly different from wild-type controls and also does not decline with age more than in wild-type.
Expression of NT1fl.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP in the embryonic nervous system under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not affect apoptosis levels compared to wild-type.
NT1fl.UAS.EGFP, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is a suppressor of abnormal locomotor behavior | adult stage phenotype of Hsap\APPArctic.UAS.Tag:SS(nec), Scer\GAL4elav-C155
NT1fl.UAS.EGFP, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is a non-suppressor of short lived phenotype of Hsap\APPArctic.UAS.Tag:SS(nec), Scer\GAL4elav-C155
Co-expression of NT1fl.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP has no significant effect on the adult lifespan of flies expressing Hsap\APPArctic.Scer\UAS.T:SS-nec under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 (cultured at either 25[o]C or 29[o]C).
The impaired locomotor ability of adult flies expressing Hsap\APPArctic.Scer\UAS.T:SS-nec under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is partially ameliorated by co-expression of NT1fl.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP.
