UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Significant differences in local cell contraction rates are observed between wild-type and dsJF02842-expressing tissues within the region displaying polarised d expression in the future scutellum. The orientation of significant differences are aligned with the local orientations of d anisotropy distribution. The differences in contraction rates between wild-type and dsJF02842-expressing tissues is mainly associated with a decrease in the contribution of cell rearrangements to tissue contractions in the region of d polarisation and, to a lesser extent, to cell shape changes.
Pupae expressing dsJF02842 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified manifest defects in the shape of the adult scutellum.
