Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^eya.enh1+E+2 results in a glossy eye phenotype

Flies expressing COX5A^JF02700 under the control of Scer\GAL4^r4 die prior to adulthood (majority of them die before puparium formation), this premature lethality is accompanied by developmental delay. The developmental delay can be alleviated by reducing the level of dietary sugars which also allows 100% survival to puparium formation although the animals still do not survive to adulthood.

Expression of COX5A^JF02700 under the Scer\GAL4^Ilp2.215-1 driver gives viable adults that do not suffer from hyperglycemia.
