Expression of Atg2^JF02786 under the control of Scer\GAL4^{Myo31DF-NP0001} results in significantly delayed midgut degradation after pupariation, with significantly increased size of the gastric caeca 0 hrs and 4 hrs after puparium formation, persistence of the midgut at 12 h after puparium formation, and significantly decreased autophagy levels 2 hrs after puparium formation, as compared to controls.

Expression of Atg2^JF02786 under the control of Scer\GAL4^cg.PU results in a decrease in starvation-induced autophagy in the larval fat body, as compared to controls.
