l(2)gd108 mutant flies show missing and abnormal external sensory organs, consisting of four sockets but no hair cells. Mutant heads are significantly enlarged.

l(2)gd108 mutant clones show loss of hairs and multiple sockets.

The size and morphology of the early endosomes in sensory organ precursor cells from l(2)gd108 mutant clones is disrupted. The early endosomes are increased in size compared to controls. The morphology of late endosomes, recycling endosomes, and the exocyst are unchanged.
