Mis-expression of sraS215A.Scer\UAS.P\T in germ-line cells under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in low levels of egg hatching. The majority of eggs have a single spindle in which the chromosome configuration appears to be arrested at anaphase I.
The defective egg hatching phenotype resulting from the mis-expression of sraS215A.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 is strongly enhanced by sraKO heterozygosity.
sraS215A.UASp/Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR fails to rescue sraKO
sraS215A.Scer\UAS.P\T driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 fails to restore female fertility or meiotic phenotype in sraKO homozygotes.
