Expression of toy^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey-OK107 results in pharate adults that exhibit severe defects in the development of major brain structures such as the mushroom bodies. Rare escapers exhibit severe defects in the mushroom bodies where they are often missing part or all of the lobes.
