      GirdinScer\UAS.PB.T:Ivir\HA, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI animals exhibit late pupal lethality.

      Overexpression of GirdinScer\UAS.PB.T:Ivir\HA with Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in loss of wing veins and a reduction in posterior wing area as a consequence of a drop in cell number.

      The posterior region of the wing imaginal disc in which GirdinScer\UAS.PB.T:Ivir\HA is overexpressed with Scer\GAL4en-e16E exhibits an increased number of apoptotic cells.
