Expression of plexAScer\UAS.cYa in R-cell axons under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF induces the formation of thicker R-cell axonal bundles between lamina and medulla, which leads to the decrease in the number of separate axonal bundles between lamina and medulla. In medulla, R-cell axons form large clumps.
