      Homozygotes die as late embryos (100% penetrant). The homozygous embryos have an enlarged head, with a reduction in the size of the first, second and third thoracic ventral denticle belts. The denticle belts of abdominal segments A3-A8 have the characteristics of the wild-type second abdominal segment denticle belt. The anal pads are poorly developed.
