Description

The splicing donor site at the end of exon 5 is mutated from GT to GA and exons encoding the C-terminal extension of CtBP are deleted resulting in the expression of only the short isoform.

      Comments

      A considerable number of adult flies survive despite being homozygous for CtBP03463 in the presence of CtBPS.T:Zzzz\FLAG. The hatch rate of maternally rescued CtBP03463 embryos is similar to that of wild-type embryos.

      Homozygous CtBP03463 mutant adults zygotic-rescued by CtBPS.T:Zzzz\FLAG display a variety of wing defects, ranging from mildly curly wings to blistered wing phenotypes, and, in some cases, severely reduced wings.
