ScerGAL4Gr64c.4.5 drives expression in adult abdominal multidendritic neurons with with dorsal processes extending along the left-right axis, as well as in multidendritic neurons with lateral processes extending anteroposteriorly; these major processes have several protruding dendrites. Additionally, expression is driven in multidendritic neurons with ladder-like processes along the dorsal abdominal wall. ScerGAL4Gr64c.4.5 also drives expression in neurons innervating the male reproductive organs, mostly innervating the accessory gland; and in neurons innervating the female reproductive organs, mostly innervating the common oviduct, lateral oviducts, or ovaries.
Inhibition (using Hsap\KCNJ2UAS.EGFP) of Scer\GAL4Gr64c.4.5 cells in adults does not significantly affect preference for sucrose, compared to controls.
Inhibition (using Ork1Δ-C.UAS.EGFP) of Scer\GAL4Gr64c.4.5 cells in adults given a choice between sucrose solution and water does not affect water or sucrose consumption, compared to controls.
