Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Clones of cell homozygous for krzd1 cause reduced wing size and incorrect wing folding.

Homozygous krzd1 and trans-heterozygous krzd1/krzS047819 mutant animals survive until the third larval instar, where they become immobile and flaccid and form melanotic tumors. The imaginal discs of these mutant larvae are very reduced in size and display increased cell death.

Expression of krzScer\UAS.cMa in the central nervous system under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA rescues the lethality of krzd1/krzS047819. The surviving flies are sterile and display slightly folded wings. Wing discs in rescued larvae have a normal appearance.
