Unlike controls, larvae expressing N^HMS00001 under the control of Scer\GAL4^wor.PA show only a few central brain neuroblasts leaving quiescence (i.e. entering S-phase) upon feeding.

Newly formed secondary neuroblasts in larval brains expressing numb^HMS01459 under the control of Scer\GAL4^insc-Mz1407 exhibit increased nucleolar size, but no significant difference in immature secondary neuroblast numbers, as compared to wild type.
