Description

UAS drives expression of a Syt7 RNAi construct encoding a ~3.2 kb genomic fragment (consisting of the first two exons and introns, including all splice donor and acceptor sites) and a reverse ~300 bp cDNA sequence (consisting of the first two exons).

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

There are no statistical differences in evoked excitatory junctional potential amplitudes between Syt7dsRNA.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 animals and controls, even at low 0.1 mM extracellular Ca[2+] concentrations. Also, the amount of facilitation at all interpulse intervals tested was statistically the same as controls, indicating paired-pulse facilitation is unaffected.

Syt1AD4/Syt1N13 mutants that also express Syt7dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 hatch and exhibit uncoordinated and slow movements (similar to Syt1AD4/Syt1N13 mutants alone), but then die during the first larval instar stage.
