      Reducing the level of hop through expression of hopdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4srp.D.cCa results in a lowering of JAK/STAT signalling and concurrently rescues the et18A mutant phenotype, restoring the ability of et18A mutant lymph glands to produce lamellocytes following wasp parasitism.
