Both male and female BG00218^BG00218 mutants show an increased lifespan compared to controls, but the phenotype is more severe in males than females.

Lifespan is significantly increased compared to controls in both males and females.

Males show significantly increased resistance to starvation and to heat stress compared to controls.

Flies show a reduced preference for trehalose at intermediate concentrations of trehalose.
