Reference

Around 40% of flies with expression of Ufm1^GL00536 driven by Scer\GAL4^da.PU exhibit abnormal vertical-turned wings that fail to fold, and mutants show significant decreases in climbing ability and flight as well as shorter lifespans, compared to controls. Flies with expression of Ufm1^GL00536 driven by Scer\GAL4^da.PU do not show disrupted muscle morphology in the indirect flight muscles.

Third instar larvae with expression of Ufm1^GL00536 driven by Scer\GAL4^RapGAP1-OK6 or Scer\GAL4^elav.PU (but not Scer\GAL4^Mhc.PU) show significant decreases in type Ib bouton number and increases in bouton size at the neuromuscular junction, compared to controls.
