UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Third instar larvae (at 96 and 120h after egg deposition) with expression of Nop60BGL00555 driven by Scer\GAL4bi.PU show strong tissue disorganization and increased cell death along the A/P border in wing discs; there is evidence for apoptosis-induced proliferation (significant increase in proliferating cells). Epithelial-mesenchymal transition is induced in the peripodial membrane (cell fate changes) with silencing of Nop60BGL00555 driven by Scer\GAL4bi.PU in third instar larval wing discs.

Nop60BGL00555, Scer\GAL4bi.PU has increased cell death | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by BacA\p35UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4bi.PU
Nop60BGL00555, Scer\GAL4bi.PU has increased cell death | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by wgSH1281
Nop60BGL00555 has wing disc | third instar larval stage phenotype, enhanceable by BacA\p35UAS.cHa/Scer\GAL4bi.PU
Nop60BGL00555, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG has egg chamber | absent phenotype, suppressible | partially by raptorUAS.Tag:HA, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG
Nop60BGL00555, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG has germarium phenotype, suppressible | partially by raptorUAS.Tag:HA, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG
Nop60BGL00555, Scer\GAL4bi.PU has wing disc | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by wgSH1281
wgSH1281 suppresses apoptosis-induced increases in proliferative activity in Scer\GAL4bi.PU>Nop60BGL00555 wing discs.
Co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa enhances wing disc phenotypes, with 'undead' cells secreting high levels of wg along the A/P margin, in Scer\GAL4bi.PU>Nop60BGL00555 third instar larval wing discs; co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa also further increases mitotic activity.
