Knockdown of ATPsyn-β through expression of ATPsyn-βNIG.11154R in the muscle (under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B)at 18[o]C results in fewer than 20% of flies eclosing. Abnormal structures are observed in the knockdown flies, such as collapsed thoraxes and downturned wings.
