      Oxidative stress-induced lethality declines when Eip71CDScer\UAS.cCa is expressed using Scer\GAL4arm.PS. Moreover, median survival rate of these flies following exposure to paraquat is higher compared to controls.

      When Eip71CDScer\UAS.cCa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO and activated using RU486, both female and male lifespan is extended.

      Expression of Eip71CDScer\UAS.cCa using Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in increased irregularity and a rough eye phenotype. Eye size and cell number is increased.
