Description

A 564bp fragment from the Ice genome encompassing the Ice promoter and 5'UTR is cloned upstream of a 708bp fragment of Ice 3'UTR. The Ice coding sequence, amplified from a cDNA clone is inserted in between these two fragments.

      A Dcp-1Prev1; IceΔ1 double mutant background fails to abolish the ability of Icefl.5'3'UTR mutants to induce cell death, although induction is at a reduced rate compared to in a IceΔ1 single mutant background.
