Wandering third instar larvae expressing Src42ADN.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF display CadN-immunopositive adherens junctions between photoreceptor precursor cells R3 and R4 in row 5 with similar lengths as wild-type controls.

Dorsal trunk length is significantly reduced in embryos expressing Src42AScer\UAS.DN in the trachea under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS.

Expression of Src42AScer\UAS.DN under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS rescues the shortened dorsal trunk and transverse connective phenotypes seen in Src42AF80 mutant embryos. Expressing Src42AScer\UAS.DN in just three posterior body segments (tracheal metameres 7-10) under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN restores tube elongation only in the corresponding segments. Adjacent anterior metameres remain short.
