Homozygous clones in the wing result in loss of the wing margin, ectopic veins and wing blistering.
Homozygous clones in the wing result in severe misorientation of the wing hairs in the adult and misorientation of prehairs in the pupa. A weak non cell-autonomous effect of the clones is seen. Larger and smaller cells than wild type are seen in the pupal wing clones. At 20 hours after pupariation the variance in mutant cell size is greater than that of wild type. At 32 hours after puparium formation, the mutant cells are significantly smaller than wild type.
