Reference

Homozygous larvae show loss of all imaginal discs and have severely reduced optic lobes. Overall larval growth is not affected. The animals die prior to puparium formation after a prolonged larval wandering stage. Salivary gland cells of homozygous larvae show levels of DNA synthesis comparable to controls (as assayed by EdU incorporation).
