Nucleotide substitution: A?G.

The endogenous Adar gene has been replaced with a mutant version in which the edited adenosine has been changed to guanosine, resulting in the production of constitutive glycine residues. A single loxP site is also inserted in Adar intron 7.

      AdarG male flies maintained in 12h light: 12h dark conditions exhibit a reduction in morning anticipation compared to controls. No defects in locomotor rhythm are observed when flies are kept in constant dark conditions.

      AdarG mutant males initiate courtship significantly more slowly than controls. However the total time spent courting females is equivalent to wild type.
