Expression of MiodsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA significantly decreases total triglyceride levels in wandering third instar larvae compared to controls.

Expression of MiodsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4yolk significantly decreases total triglyceride levels in adult females compared to controls. This appears to be due to a change in the amount of fat per cell rather than changing fat cell number.

Adults expressing MiodsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4yolk show reduced food consumption compared to controls. These flies show normal starvation-induced sleep deprivation and the total bout number and average bout length of sleep is comparable to wild type under both fed and starvation conditions.

Expression of MiodsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4to.PD significantly decreases total triglyceride levels in adult males compared to controls.
