Expression of FakdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in an increase in bouton number per muscle area at the neuromuscular junction.
Significant overgrowth of the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) (increased bouton number per muscle area and increased NMJ length per muscle area) is seen in third instar larvae expressing FakdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, while expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW has no effect on NMJ growth.
