Detailed Description

Homozygous females contain compound egg chambers containing 2 germ-line cysts. These defects can be seen in early egg chambers (stages 4-5). Egg chambers with discontinuous follicle epithelia are seen in all stages of oogenesis after the cysts have left the germarium. Apical F-actin accumulation appears normal in follicle cells.

cherunspecified/sosie4 double heterozygotes show delayed migration of the border cells relative to the outer follicle cells and irregular actin in more than 60% of egg chambers.

chicunspecified/sosie4 double heterozygotes often have egg chamber packaging defects and egg chambers often have irregular actin. Delayed migration of the border cells relative to the outer follicle cells is seen in more than 60% of egg chambers.
