Detailed Description

Expressing Fur1GL01340 under the control of Scer\GAL4bnl.PU occasionally leads to stunted air sac primordium development, compared to controls.

Expression of Fur1GL01340 driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 produces mostly wild type larvae.

Expression of Fur1GL01340 under the control of Scer\GAL4G14 results in a reduction in NMJ bouton number. At high expression levels (at high temperatures or in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa) the muscles are distorted and early larval lethality is seen.

Knockdown of Fur1GL01340 or Fur2GLC01802 alone (driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) produces mostly wild type larvae, but knockdown of both together results in a loss of terminal structures (reduction in posterior filzkorper, head skeleton defects) and phenotypes consistent with dorso-ventral patterning defects (lateral denticle belt fields, head involution, germ band retraction failure).

Co-expression of Fur1GL01340 significantly enhances terminal patterning defects in Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16>trkN.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Disc\RFP-mCherry larvae.
