Expression of gfAY195T.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4OK307 results severe defects in the response of the dorsal longitudinal muscle to stimulation of the giant fiber. The refractory period is nearly three times longer than wild type and the ability to follow stimuli at high frequency is almost abolished.

Expression of gfAY195T.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4OK307 has no significant effect on the latency of the response of the tergotrochanteral muscle to stimulation of the giant fiber.
