      When BM-40-SPARCScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is activated specifically in the loser wild-type cells using Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PBb surrounded by dmαTub84B.PBb-expressing super-competitor cells, apoptosis is reduced and cell competition is prevented.
