UAS regulates expression of a chimeric Dscam1 carrying encoding transmembrane domain 1 (derived from exon 17.1) but with the cytoplasmic juxtamembrane portion normally associated with transmembrane domain 2 (derived from exon 17.2). The construct is tagged with GFP.
