UAS regulates expression of a chimeric Dscam1 carrying encoding transmembrane domain 2 (derived from exon 17.2) but with the cytoplasmic juxtamembrane portion normally associated with transmembrane domain 1 (derived from exon 17.1). The construct is tagged with GFP.
