      Comments

      Expression of two copies of HtrA21.97.-IBM partially rescues the spermatogonial cyst death seen in HtrA2IFD/Df(3R)HtrA2Df1 mutant flies. The amount of germline cell death is restored to approximately 80% of wild type levels. The male sterility defect is also partially rescued, with rescue flies producing ~75% of the progeny seen in wild type.
