Sequence from -759 (PmeI site) to +975 (SfiI site) in ry+t7.2 has been replaced with the same fragment amplified from a ry606 mutant fly. This region carries the ry606 mutation (nucleotide substitution G to A at -468) and also results in several polymorphisms relative to ry+t7.2 (since ry+t7.2 is derived from a ry+5 fly and ry606 was induced on a ry+6 chromosome). The nucleotide polymorphisms are: GTAC starting at -3149 is not present (this destroys a KpnI site), C-710A, A-679G, G-527T, G-468A (the ry606N lesion), T-332G, T-323C, A-320C, G73T, C239T, T355A, T449C and C467T (creates an AgeI site). (Coordinates follow the system of FBrf0044473, in which +1 is within an EcoRI site in the second exon. This corresponds to nucleotide 3R:8859890 on the release 5 genome.)
