UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a fusion protein which consists of amino acids 1-90 of E(spl)mδ-HLH (the N-terminal and bHLH domains) and amino acids 91-205 of E(spl)mγ-HLH (the Orange and C-terminal domains).
