    Heat-shock induced inactivation of the SNF4AγMI09417-FF.PT-EGFP allele in SNF4AγMI09417-FF.PT-EGFP/SNF4AγMI09417 mutant flies at 3 days post eclosion (using the Scer\FLP1hs.PU to induce the 'flip-flop' cassette inversion) leads to severe neurodegeneration with multiple lesions in the brain (the neurodegeneration doesn't appear to progress further as the flies age but they typically die 3-4 weeks later).
