Expression of DopEcRScer\UAS.cIb under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch in adult mushroom body neurons (using RU486 to limit the timing of expression) restores courtship memory in a courtship conditioning assay in rut2 males.

Expression of DopEcRScer\UAS.cIb under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch in adult mushroom body neurons (using RU486 to limit the timing of expression) does not restore courtship memory in a courtship conditioning assay in rut1084 males. However, if these flies are also fed 0.01mM 20-hydroxy-ecdysone (a concentration that does not rescue courtship memory in rut1084 single mutants), significant rescue of courtship memory is seen.
