Adults expressing wfs1HMC03559 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 alone or under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4repo (but not when under the control of Scer\GAL4repo alone) show age-dependent climbing defects and brain vacuolization (optic lobe and central neuropil), as compared to controls; these phenotypes are more severe under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4repo.

Adults expressing wfs1HMC03559 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 alone or under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4repo show a severely impaired righting reflex, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing wfs1HMC03559 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 alone present mushroom body neurons without mitochondria distribution defects within the cell body.

Adults expressing wfs1HMC03559 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF do not show lamina defects.
