      Expression of RelD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4repo results in a significantly increased number of apoptotic cells in the adult brain compared to wild type. Vacuolar-like holes are seen in the lamina.

      Expression of RelD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU has no significant effect on the number of apoptotic cells in the adult brain.
