        The P{lacW}Rpt1k11110 insertion is within Rpt1, which is located within a long intron of CG17985. Homozygosity for the P{lacW}Rpt1k11110 chromosome results in second instar larval lethality, which is not rescued by expression of Rpt1Ubi-p63E.PS. This suggests that the homozygous lethality of the chromosome is at least in part due to an effect on CG17985.
