Most of the RhoGAP102A first exon (including the ATG site and all the coding sequence of this exon) has been deleted. The deleted sequence has been replaced with the following reintegrated sequence: sequence encoding a GAL4 driver followed by a loxP cassette containing a w+* marker. This allele was generated in a multi-step process that comprised: 1. homologous recombination to delete part of the RhoGAP102A exon and replace it with sequence that included an attP site, 2. P1cre-mediated excision of a loxP cassette containing markers, and 3. insertion of the reintegrated sequence (which includes a new loxP cassette) into the attP site using phiC31-mediated recombination (thus a recombined attP/B site is present 5' to the GAL4 coding region due to this process).
