Description

The 83 amino acid exon 15 and 16 sequence in robo1 (amino acid residues 881-975) has been replaced by the transmembrane and juxtamembrane part of Mmus\Cd8a (amino acids 151 to 224, plus a 26 amino acid linker sequence). A single loxP site is present in the intron after exon 14.

      roboSD-CD8 mutant flies are viable and fertile. The CNS of roboSD-CD8 mutant embryos does not show any phenotypic abnormality. Commissure formation and distribution occurs normally in all embryos.
