        Homozygous sanoGal4 larvae show a response to low-salt concentrations (at 10 and 50mM NaCl) similar to that observed in wild-type or heterozygous larvae.

        At 100mM NaCl, sanoGal4 mutant larvae display an attractive response to salt, whereas wild-type larvae show no preference.

        At high salt concentrations (200, 300, and 500mM NaCl), sanoGal4 mutant larvae display strong defects in their aversion to NaCl.

        sanoGal4 mutant larvae, with as wild-type, are attracted by 100mM sucrose and repelled by 10mM caffeine or 10mM quinine.
