7-day old germaria expressing SodScer\UAS.P\T.cPa via Scer\GAL4hh.PU have normal numbers of germline cell stems (GSCs) and cap cells. However, 77-day old germaria have a significantly greater number of GSCs and cap cells compared to controls, demonstrating increased maintenance rates. They also carry significantly more cysts than controls at this age. BrdU labelling rates are also significantly increased in 77-day old germaria compared to controls.

7-day old germaria expressing SodScer\UAS.P\T.cPa via Scer\GAL4nos.PU have normal numbers of germline cell stems (GSCs) and cap cells. However, 63-day old germaria have a significantly greater number of GSCs and cap cells compared to controls, demonstrating increased maintenance rates. They also carry significantly more cysts than controls at this age.
