      In lbe12C005/Df(3R)B44 embryos ap-expressing neurons fail to project their axons into the medial-most Fas2-immunopositive fascicle in the ventral nerve cord. Their lateral and commissural projections are also impaired.

      Mutants show loss of expression of P{FMRFa-EGFP.Tv}, a marker for the six Ap4 neurons in the developing ventral nerve cord, and loss of expression of eya, which identifies the four Ap cluster neurons.
