Downregulation of X11Lβ, through expression of X11LβdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in viable flies and adults that are wild-type in appearance.

Expression of X11LβdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of the mushroom body driver Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 does not cause structural phenotypes in the larval mushroom body. However, lobe defects are seen in the adult brain.
